2012 American Art Awards, 1st and 2nd Place in the Abstract Art Category!

The fall season is already upon us! I know I am excited to begin my preparation for the winter months by getting in some of the last bit of Portland sunshine before it hides out for the winter.

With the emergence of fall also comes one of my busiest seasons. I have been working feverishly lately finishing up commissions, working on new pieces, and posting many updated photos onto my website! It has most definitely been a busy and exciting time.

Speaking of exciting I am also pleased to announce that once again, two of my paintings have been selected as winners in the 2012 American Art Awards. The judges of the American Art Awards include 25 art galleries across the U.S. including the Walter Wickiser Gallery in New York, New York! This honor, as always, is so humbling and definitely motivates me to keep on creating and working as much as possible! My winning paintings this year are listed below.

Here's to 2012 - Happy New Year!

This morning I woke up to a beautiful, cold, and wintry Pacific Northwest day with an overwhelming feeling of gratitude.  It's New Year's Eve!  2011 has been amazing and I'm incredibly excited about 2012.

The above painting image is of a Christmas commission that was a gift for someone on a rowing team. It's called, "Keep Calm and Row On," and it was so much fun to create!
